When I was younger I can remember watching videos over and over again. When a new video would come out you couldn't wait to get your hands on it. In the last few years it seems like there's so many videos that it's almost impossible to get excited about one. Even high profile videos come out, you watch them a few times and move on to the next. Well lately I've found a few videos online that remind me of the old days. Videos that get better every time you see them. Unique skaters that you can't help but get excited about. The video above is one of them.

Untitled Skateboards

This is a promo for Untitled Skateboards. I grew up with the Jud and it's cool when someone becomes successful by being true to themselves. Whether you're into the same things he's into or not, you've got to respect someone who doesn't compromise his beliefs for anything.

Some Take Back Heaven photos HERE

Take Back Heaven

I just wanted to thank everyone that came out for the 5th Take Back Heaven in Hartford this weekend. It's awesome to see so many scenes come together and skate a spot that's been around forever. The first time I skated Heaven was over 10 years ago and it remains today a no-bust draw to the Connecticut scene. 5 years ago we started the event for a couple of reasons: One is there are quite a few like minded individuals in MA and CT that for whatever reason don't get a chance to skate together enough. The other reason is that Heaven was in rough shape at the time, and we wanted to "Take Back" the spot from the broken glass, horrible graffiti, and general debris that had taken over what was once so perfect it was named "Heaven." Let's face it, even the people claiming Hartford don't live there, and the locals are really people from the suburbs and surrounding cities. Heaven is a place for people to meet up and skate, regardless of area code, shop affiliation or whether they've got some super tight pants or some mc hammer looking baggies on. It's skateboarding and it's a family. Everyone is and always has been welcome at Take Back Heaven, and people leave their differences in their hometowns. There's been a lot of unnecessary drama in the area over the last few years, and the kids carrying the beef on right now aren't even sure why. Take Back Heaven is an opportunity to put aside the corny shit aside and get down to the real deal - skating.

Thanks again to everyone who showed up from: Day One, Haven Skatepark, Hatchet Wound Skateboards, Death Traitors, Low Card, Debris Skateboards, Next Generation Skateshop, Skate Lair, Hoodlum Skateboards, Constance Clothing, RAW, Cutting Edge, Theory Skateshop, Magical Go-Go, Mass Appeal, Bodega Skateboards, Worship Skateboards, and the many more I'm forgetting.
